- A1C, also known as HbA1c or hemoglobin A1C is a measure of average blood sugar levels over the last 3 months.
- When there are high levels of sugar floating around in the blood, some of it "sticks" to the hemoglobin and when a blood sample is taken, it measures the amount of glucose in the blood. A1C is typically measured as a percent.

- 5.7-6.4 Pre-diabetes
- >6.5 Diabetes
